This unit focuses on the structure of Georgia's State Government. By the end of the unit you will know that conflict and change led to compromise that created our country, that individual states had obligations to create representative governments. You will also understand that individuals, groups, and institutions helped produce the changes in our nation and more specifically the state of Georgia.

- What is the basic structure of GA’s Constitution and how does it protect the separation of powers?
- What are the rights of American citizens and what responsibilities accompany these basic rights of citizenship?

- How do political parties serve the purpose of voters with different opinions?
